Facebook to give young children access — iKeepSafe

Facebook to give young children access — iKeepSafe

Since children are signing up anyway, this maybe a good idea. To allow them to sign up but with restrictions on what they can and can't see and parental control. But since kids are already lying about their age on FB and not telling their parent they are on it, will this really make a difference?

  1. Honestly probably not. Children who really want to do things go out of their way to do it regardless of the consequences, if any. But it is a great gesture.

  2. I don't think this will make a difference for a lot of kids who are going to be sneaky anyway. It may stop a few kids who have great parents and great values themselves. However, I think that social media sites will continue to be a problem between and for parents and children!

  3. This is definitely a great thought, but as mentioned above several times kids are going to find ways around things. However, if we educate parents and they are active in their young child's internet activity it may sure as beneficial to some.
